About Me

London, United Kingdom
Hey Dudes and Dudettes, my name is Georgina. My friends call me GiGi, George(obviously), Gina, Georgiee, DIVA and the latest is Geor-gii-naa, which very much sounds like vagina< EWW. This blog will be mainly about my love for Fashion and Beauty. But its not just about fashion. I used to work in Selfridges. After spending over a year there,I began to resent it and that's where I began searching for jobs in Fashion. I got an internship at Masha Ma studios, in grimey Seven Sisters. I met a stylist called Andrej Skok, who is a big stylist in Milan and Paris, he met me at the Masha Ma studio 3 weeks before London Fashion Week in January 2010 and he took a liking to me, took me under his wing and hired me to be his Stylist Assistant :) Ever since then, I've been priviledged to work with GQ magazine, Vogue and Marie Claire. I also work with a designer called BodyAmr,I have been able to assist in styling Cheryl Cole on X-Factor,Kylie Minougue,Florence Welch and most recently Gwentyth Paltrow for an Oscars after party. I hope you all enjoy my posts, as much as I enjoy writing them. Take care my fellow Fashionistas. Live, Love, Louboutin heels xxx

SMOKING' HOT

Did SMOKING just get cool again?????????

It was National Smoking Day on Wednesday 9th March, (you no the campaign that helps people quit from smoking cigarettes), however, ironically on this same day, Brit Award winner, Soul singer Adele is seen adorning the cover of 'the gentlewoman' magazine, puffing on a cigarette.

Secondly reformed 'coke sniffing' Kate Moss took to the runway for the first time in three years, closing the Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week show. Her hair in a "Croydon facelift"- a scraped-back ponytail and dressed in hot pants. And if that wasn't enough for her to re-emerge on the catwalk, she came out 'AVIN A FAG"

According to the Evening Standard
"Critics (i.e ME) will have a field day with Moss smoking, but they will be missing Jacobs [Marc Jacobs, head designer for Louis Vuitton] point. This was a show about freedom: of expression and of choice. It was about a woman's right to choose to live as she pleases, whether that means smoking a Marlboro or buying a £2000 Louis Vuitton bag. Isn't this what fashion is all about?"

NEWS-FLASH Evening Standard. Eeerrrmmm NOOO this is not what fashion is about. Maybe if the Evening Standard looked at and followed the inspiring and influential works of Supermodels Alec Wek or Iman, rather than glorifying a coke sniffing, scandal fueled, Miss Moss, then they might really grasp the beauty of fashion and the positive effects it can have.

Luckily, the UK government has decided on a new minimalist plain-paper packaging directive for cigarettes, since the previous 'SMOKING KILLS' slogan and the black tarred lungs on the packets didn't make the full impact as they expected. Its shocking. I suppose for smokers its a fag over having a life, the same way how its fashion over boys for me:) x
